Shopify to Phorest: Create Phorest Purchases

• If this option is selected, it will create a new purchase in Phorest (requires email, name, and phone number on the Shopify order based on the Phorest Manager settings below)

Check your client detail requirements at: Phorest Manager → Settings → Client Setup → New Client Details

1. In Shopify, go to Orders > Create Order.

2. Select a customer who only has an email (e.g., Tom - No Phone).

3. Add a product (e.g., Bamboo Bath Bombs).

4. Click Create Order.

💡 Outcome: The order will sync and appear in Phorest Manager > Sales, correctly attributed to the client based on the email.

1. In Shopify, go to Orders > Create Order.

2. Use a customer where only the shipping address contains a phone number (not the contact section).

3. Add a product (e.g., Bamboo Bath Bombs).

4. Click Create Order.

💡 Outcome: Phorest will match the client using the phone number from shipping info and display the sale under that client in Sales.

1. In Shopify, go to Orders > Create Order.

2. Use customer info that doesn't meet both phone and email requirements

3. Add a product (e.g., Bamboo Bath Bombs).

4. Click Create Order.

💡 Outcome: Phorest will be unable to make a match and create a sale as a "Walk-in"

The system searches for phone numbers in this sequence:

1. Contact information (First)

2. Shipping address (Second)

3. Billing address (Third)

4. Walk-in assignment (final fallback)

For successful client assignment, orders must always contain:

• First name (mandatory)

• Last name (mandatory)

• Email address OR phone number (based on Phorest client setup requirements)

If these requirements aren't met, the purchase will automatically be assigned to a "Walk-in" client.

• A Shopify order will reduce inventory and create a purchase record in Phorest under that client. Subject to the restrictions outlined above.
